Hoopium Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Hoopium iOS app (the "App") handles information. Hoopium is a basketball training app — workout timers, a camera-based vertical-jump measurement, and camera-based shot make/miss tracking — developed by Ethan Brown ("we", "us").

Camera
Hoopium uses the camera for the vertical-jump measurement and for shot detection. All camera frames are processed entirely on your device, in real time. They are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted, and the App does not record or save video. When you finish, only the resulting numbers (for example, a jump height or a makes/misses count) are kept — and only on your device.
Information stored on your device
Your settings, saved workouts, vertical-jump history, and shooting sessions are stored only locally on your device. We operate no servers and never receive this data. Deleting the App removes it.
Advertising
Hoopium shows advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and app usage/interaction data.
On iOS, the App asks for your permission via App Tracking Transparency before any tracking used for personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones. Google's relevant policies: policies.google.com/technologies/ads and policies.google.com/privacy.
No account, no personal info
Hoopium has no sign-up and no accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or photos, and we run no analytics of our own.
Children
Hoopium is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Advertising identifier — you can reset or limit it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and → Apple Advertising.
- Camera access — you can revoke the App's camera permission at any time in iOS Settings → Hoopium. (The camera-based features won't work without it, but the rest of the App will.)

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change.
