Fencing Leads From NZ Community Posts

People post in community groups after a storm has taken out a fence, when a new puppy or dog needs a secure yard, or when two neighbours agree it's time to replace a tired boundary fence. Pool fencing and compliance jobs also come up, and these often need to be done properly and quickly. We watch Facebook groups, Neighbourly, Reddit and job boards across New Zealand and email you a link to the original post so you can reply yourself.

Which fencing jobs we send you

Jobs we watch for

  • Storm or wind damage repairs. Fences blown down or damaged in bad weather are urgent posts and often lead to a full replacement rather than a patch.
  • New boundary fences. Neighbours agreeing to split the cost of a new boundary fence are common posts and usually well-defined jobs.
  • Pool fencing for compliance. Posts about meeting pool fencing rules tend to need accurate, code-aware work and are worth prioritising.
  • Pet or child-proofing a section. People securing a yard for a new dog or child often want the whole boundary done at once.
  • Retaining fences for new sections. New builds or subdivided sections needing a first fence put up are a steady source of larger jobs.

Posts we leave out

  • Secondhand fencing materials for sale. Someone selling leftover palings or posts is not asking for fencing labour.
  • DIY fencing advice requests. Posts asking how to put up a fence themselves are seeking tips, not a contractor.
  • Fence paint or stain recommendations. Questions about what product to use on an existing fence are not a job lead.

These are starting points. You tell us exactly what you want and what to skip.

Winning fencing jobs from a post

  • Ask for the length and fence type wanted. Fencing quotes vary a lot by material and run length, so confirming these details early helps you give a realistic price fast.
  • Mention compliance experience for pools. If the post is about a pool fence, saying you understand the current fencing rules reassures a worried homeowner.
  • Offer to measure up in person. Boundary and ground issues are common with fencing, so offering a quick site visit before quoting shows you do it properly.

When fencing posts come up

Fencing posts often spike straight after storms, when wind has taken out panels or whole sections of fence. They also pick up over spring and early summer as people fence off new sections, secure a yard for a pet, or finally replace a boundary fence before summer gatherings. Pool fencing posts tend to rise as the weather warms and people get their sections ready for the season.

Fencing leads questions

How many fencing leads can I expect each month?

We can't promise a number. It depends on your area and the job types you choose, and other fencing contractors in the same groups see the same posts, so speed and a good reply count.

Can I set the fence types I want alerts for?

Yes. You tell us the kinds of fencing jobs you want and don't want, along with the towns or suburbs you cover, and you can change this any time by email.

Is there a cost per lead or job won?

No. It's a flat $5 NZD a month after two weeks free, with no fee per lead and no commission on jobs. You can cancel any month.

Do you contact the person who posted for me?

No. We email you the post with a link to it, and you reply yourself. There's no middleman and no app, just an email alert.

How does the free trial work?

You add a card on Stripe’s secure checkout page, but nothing is charged for the first 14 days. After that it is $5 a month. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

Do I need an Ethelium website?

No. Lead alerts work on their own. If you have a website plan with us you can add them to it from the plan builder.

Is there an app?

No app to install. Alerts arrive by email, so they work on any phone and you reply to the post from wherever you read it.
