Rubbish removal leads from local community posts
Rubbish and junk removal requests show up constantly in community groups: a garage clear-out before a move, green waste after a hedge trim, or a skip's worth of junk left by a previous tenant. These posts are useful jobs because the person usually just wants it gone and isn't shopping around much further than the group. We watch for that wording and email you the post with a link to reply.

Which rubbish removal jobs we send you
Jobs we watch for
- Household clear-outs. Garage, shed or whole-house junk removal, often tied to a move or deceased estate.
- Rental and tenancy clean-ups. Landlords needing old furniture or rubbish cleared after a tenant leaves.
- Green waste removal. Hedge, lawn and garden waste after a tidy-up that's too much for the kerbside bin.
- Renovation and construction waste. Old carpet, timber, fittings and other debris left after a renovation.
- Deceased estate and hoarder clear-outs. Larger, sometimes sensitive clear-outs where the family just wants it handled.
Posts we leave out
- Recycling drop-off questions. People asking where to take recycling themselves rather than hiring a removal service.
- Council bin or kerbside collection questions. Questions about council collection schedules rather than a private removal job.
- Selling or giving away items. Marketplace-style posts offering items for free or sale, with nothing to remove.
These are starting points. You tell us exactly what you want and what to skip.

Winning rubbish removal jobs from a post
- Ask what fills the load, not just the type. Rubbish volume varies hugely, so ask for a rough idea of size, like a trailer load or a single room, before quoting.
- Mention same-week availability. Many rubbish removal posts come from people who want the job gone quickly, so say plainly if you can get there this week.
- Note if you handle green waste or hazardous items separately. Some loads need separate disposal, so being upfront about what you can and can't take avoids a wasted trip.
When rubbish removal posts come up
Rubbish removal posts tend to rise with spring cleaning and over the end-of-tenancy period, when garages and rentals get cleared out. They also tend to spike after storms or big garden tidy-ups, and around the New Year when people are starting fresh and clearing clutter from the house.

Rubbish removal leads questions
Does this cover junk removal as well as rubbish?
Yes, we treat rubbish removal and junk removal as the same category, so you'll see posts covering both general rubbish and junk clear-outs once you sign up.
Can I say I only take certain kinds of waste?
Yes. You tell us the jobs you want and don't want, such as excluding hazardous or green waste, and you can change this any time by email.
Is there a fee per job I win?
No. It's a flat $5 NZD a month after a two week free trial, with no fee per lead and no commission on the job.
Can other removalists see the same post?
Yes, we can't promise you're the only one who sees it. Other businesses in those groups can see the same posts, so replying quickly and well helps.
How does the free trial work?
You add a card on Stripe’s secure checkout page, but nothing is charged for the first 14 days. After that it is $5 a month. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Do I need an Ethelium website?
No. Lead alerts work on their own. If you have a website plan with us you can add them to it from the plan builder.
Is there an app?
No app to install. Alerts arrive by email, so they work on any phone and you reply to the post from wherever you read it.
