Roofing leads, emailed when someone nearby asks for a roofer

Roofing posts in community groups are often triggered by a leak, missing tiles or iron after a storm, or someone planning a full re-roof before winter sets in. Leaks in particular tend to be urgent, with the poster wanting someone out quickly to stop damage spreading inside the house, so speed and a clear next step matter in your reply.

Roofing leads: the posts we look for

  • Facebook groupRoof leaking into the ceiling after last night's storm, need a roofer in Lower Hutt urgently.
  • NeighbourlyA few tiles blew off in the wind, looking for someone to repair our roof in Napier.
  • RedditPlanning a full re-roof before winter on an older house in Christchurch, who can quote?
  • Job boardSpouting pulled away from the fascia in Whangārei, need it fixed before the rain comes back.

Which roofing jobs we send you

Jobs we watch for

  • Roof leaks. Urgent repair jobs, often after rain or storms, where speed matters most.
  • Storm damage. Missing or damaged iron, tiles or flashing after bad weather.
  • Full re-roofs. Replacing an ageing roof, usually planned rather than urgent.
  • Spouting and guttering repairs. Often posted alongside or instead of a roof repair request.
  • Roof inspections before sale or purchase. Buyers or sellers wanting a professional opinion on roof condition.

Posts we leave out

  • How do I clean moss off my roof myself. DIY maintenance questions, not a request for a roofer.
  • Selling leftover roofing iron or tiles. Marketplace posts rather than a job lead.
  • Insurance claim venting threads. General complaints about an insurer, not a direct callout for work.

These are starting points. You tell us exactly what you want and what to skip.

Each match lands in your inbox with a link to the post, so you can reply straight away.

Winning roofing jobs from a post

  • Ask what's leaking and whether it's active right now. Roofing posts are often urgent, so a quick question about whether water is still coming in shows you understand the priority.
  • Mention if you can do a temporary fix fast. Offering a quick tarp or patch while you schedule the full repair can win a job even if you can't start immediately.
  • Note your experience with the roof type in the post. Tiles, iron and membrane roofs need different skills, so saying you've worked on that type builds confidence.

When roofing posts come up

Roofing posts tend to spike straight after storms and heavy rain, when leaks show up and damage is fresh in people's minds. Full re-roof enquiries often come through over autumn as people try to get work done before winter weather sets in, and again in spring once storm season has passed.

Roofing leads questions

Will I get commercial roofing jobs too?

Most community posts are from homeowners, so expect mainly residential leaks, storm damage, re-roofs and spouting repairs. Tell us if you also want commercial or industrial roofing posts included.

Can I exclude full re-roofs and only get repair jobs?

Yes. Email us that you only want repair jobs and we will leave full re-roof posts out of your alerts entirely, until you tell us otherwise.

Do you check if I'm qualified for the roof type?

No, we don't verify qualifications before you sign up. You decide which roof types and jobs suit your skills and experience, the same as replying to any community post yourself.

Can I cover more than one region?

Yes. List every town or suburb you work in and we'll send posts from all of them, and you can update the list any time.

How does the free trial work?

You add a card on Stripe’s secure checkout page, but nothing is charged for the first 14 days. After that it is $5 a month. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

Do I need an Ethelium website?

No. Lead alerts work on their own. If you have a website plan with us you can add them to it from the plan builder.

Is there an app?

No app to install. Alerts arrive by email, so they work on any phone and you reply to the post from wherever you read it.
