Plumbing leads near you, emailed when someone asks for a plumber
People post in community groups when a pipe bursts, a hot water cylinder fails, a toilet won't stop running or they're renovating a bathroom and need someone qualified. These posts are usually urgent and the poster wants a registered plumber, not a DIY fix, which makes them good jobs to chase. We send you the post and the link so you can reply straight away.

Which plumbing jobs we send you
Jobs we watch for
- Burst or leaking pipes. Urgent repair jobs that need a plumber on site quickly.
- Hot water cylinder faults. Replacing or repairing cylinders, usually a paid call-out.
- Bathroom and kitchen renovations. Repiping or relocating fixtures as part of a reno.
- Blocked drains. Clearing blockages, often the first call before a bigger job turns up.
- Gas fitting and hot water installs. Certified installs and servicing for gas appliances.
Posts we leave out
- Which tap washer do I need. DIY advice questions with no paid job attached.
- Selling second-hand plumbing parts. Marketplace listings, not a request for a tradesperson.
- Council or insurance complaint threads. General venting about a plumbing issue, not a callout.
These are starting points. You tell us exactly what you want and what to skip.

Winning plumbing jobs from a post
- Say you're a registered plumber. People asking in a group are often wary of unlicensed work, so lead with your registration or licence number.
- Ask what's leaking or where the water is going. A quick diagnostic question shows you understood the post and separates you from generic replies.
- Give a rough timeframe for when you can come look. Plumbing posts are often urgent, so saying you can get there today or tomorrow matters more than price.
When plumbing posts come up
Plumbing posts tend to pick up over winter when cold weather finds weak pipes and cylinders, and again around end of tenancy when landlords want repairs done before a new tenant moves in. Storms and burst mains can bring a run of urgent posts in a single area within a day or two.

Plumbing leads questions
Will I get commercial plumbing jobs too?
Most posts in community groups are from homeowners and renters, so expect mainly residential work. You can tell us if you also want commercial jobs and we'll include posts that mention them.
Can I exclude gas fitting if I'm not certified for it?
Yes. Tell us by email that you only want general plumbing work and we will leave every gas fitting post out of your alerts from then on.
Do I need to be a registered plumber to sign up?
We don't check qualifications before sending alerts, so it's on you to only take on plumbing work you are licensed and competent for, the same responsibility you'd carry replying to any community post yourself.
Can I set which suburbs or towns I cover?
Yes. Tell us your towns or suburbs by email and we'll only send posts from those areas, and you can change the list any time.
How does the free trial work?
You add a card on Stripe’s secure checkout page, but nothing is charged for the first 14 days. After that it is $5 a month. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Do I need an Ethelium website?
No. Lead alerts work on their own. If you have a website plan with us you can add them to it from the plan builder.
Is there an app?
No app to install. Alerts arrive by email, so they work on any phone and you reply to the post from wherever you read it.
